The Rotary Club of Kutztown is proud to announce the 4th annual Taste of Kutztown taking place on Saturday, June 8th, 2013. Each year we strive to make the Taste of Kutztown festival better for both the participants and vendors.
This year’s event will feature a 2-block closure of Main Street in the heart of downtown Kutztown with a street market theme featuring live music, wine and food sampling and sales, artisans or unique crafts. The focus of this event is to showcase the diverse, wineries, eateries and artisans surrounding our beautiful Berks County and to raise funds for the Rotary Club of Kutztown.
For more than a century, Rotarians have been volunteering in communities at home and abroad to provide clean water, improve health, and promote international understanding. We’ve helped reduce the incidence of polio by more than 99 percent and have awarded scholarships to over 40,000 students. Most recently, we contributed to the local Rotary Club in New Jersey to support those affected by Hurricane Sandy. We are dedicated to maintaining and expanding our ability to support others with the hope of doubling the funds raised at this year’s Taste of Kutztown event.
Money raised from The Taste of Kutztown is given directly to community organizations and projects, in the past this has included local organizations such as the Kutztown and Topton Fire Companies, Friend, Inc, Brandywine and Louisa Gonser Libraries, Student of the month program, and The Burn Foundation.
